April 16, 2010 was the date of the first meeting of the Lake County Community Assessment Team (CAT). The team met to begin laying the groundwork for the statistical data that needs to be collected and reported for Lake County. The meeting was held at the Student Services Building, Room 205, on the Lake Sumter Community College Leesburg campus.
The first annual Quality of Life: A Snapshot of Lake County was supported by the Safe Climate Coalition of Lake County (now known as Be Free Lake) through a federal grant STOP Act, 2010-2011.
