The Quality of Life: A Snapshot of Lake County 2012 report….. is the result of many stakeholders committed to making Lake County a better place to live, work and play. The motivation behind this work is to create a data-based picture of health and social trends and conditions – to be reviewed, revised and updated every year. This initiative is a long-term process, community-shaped and community-driven, to be used as a tool for opening conversations. It can aid planning, policy, funding, and other decision-making by exploring ways to improve the wide range of social and health conditions in our area.

The epidemology indicators for Lake County have now been documented as Lake County Indicators under the Data Sources/Data Collection/Indicator Development tab.
April 16, 2010 was the date of the first meeting of the Lake County Community Assessment Team (CAT). The team met to begin laying the groundwork for the statistical data that needs to be collected and reported for Lake County. The meeting was held at the Student Services Building, Room 205, on the Lake Sumter Community College Leesburg campus.
